Directions to Oak Apple Barn:

Proceeding from junction 36 of the M6 motorway, follow the A591, signposted Windermere and Ambleside. Upon reaching Ambleside, turn left at the traffic lights at Waterhead, following the signs for Hawkshead and Coniston. At the Ambleside Rugby Club, turn left and continue over Rothay Bridge, proceed to Clappersgate, turning left onto the B5286, signposted Hawkshead. Drive through Outgate and before reaching Hawkshead village, turn right (just by some old buildings on your right) on the B5285, signposted Tarn Hows and Coniston; then take the next (first) lane on your right. Continue up the lane for approximately 200 yards, with the property being situated on the left hand side. Go through the main gate into the farmyard.
